Michael Young and I recently launched Shifd.com. Shifd is the origin of us winning Yahoo! Hack Day 2007. We recently launched as a free BETA and we plan to launch a 1.0 version by the end of '08. In the NYTimes R&D Labs I am focusing on flexible Newspaper 2.0 devices, mobile, data visualization, GPS aware content and many more exciting projects. Outside The Times, I recently helped cofound NYCResistor, a hacker space in Brooklyn where we offer hardware and programming classes and collectively work on innovative open source projects.
